Worry not, with few simple steps your shiny new iPhone X can spring back to life.

Force restart iPhone X using hardware buttons

Step 1: Press volume up button and release quickly.I literally mean release quickly, almost instantly.

Step 2: Press volume down button and release quickly.

Step 3: Press and hold the power button(Side button) until you see the Apple logo.

If you see Siri being triggered instead, go to step 1 and repeat.

If the above steps didn’t work for you, you can do the following.

Restore or update iPhone X using iTunes

While the above press may have fixed your problems, chances are that you still need help.

iPhone X is somewhat unstable compared to previous ones, so playing a video on iPhone X using VLC app may crash your iPhone.Actually, that did happen for me.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone to the mac or laptop you previously authorised with your Apple ID.

Step 2: Open iTunes and look out for iPhone icon and click it.

Step 3: In case you didn’t find an iPhone icon, you may need to authorise your computer.

Note: You may also need to allow access by pressing Do you want this computer to access prompt.

Step 4: Click update(or restore)and your iPhone may be updated with the latest software to fix the issue.

Note: Clicking restore would erase all data and iTunes will prompt you to back up this iPhone before restoring.

Always click backup before proceeding to restore. You may ignore this step if you have iCloud backup turned on.

If you’re still out of luck it means its a hardware issue. You can contact Apple support or walk into one of the several Apple stores to get it fixed.
